Based on this founding purpose, the university’s quality policy is to provide students with the best educational opportunities and contribute to both Turkish and global society through creative efforts. To achieve this, Bilkent continuously develops its education, research, and management processes, establishes mechanisms for ongoing improvement, and incorporates the perspectives and needs of internal and external stakeholders as key elements of these mechanisms. The university also aligns national and international education standards with its institutional culture.
The continuity of the quality assurance system is embraced and supported by all stakeholders, whose responsibilities and positions are defined by relevant regulations. The university actively communicates its quality assurance policy across the institution to create awareness. The Bilkent University Quality Commission, established to implement the Quality Assurance System, conducts internal evaluations, identifies necessary improvements, and ensures these efforts align with the university’s strategic goals through a participatory and transparent approach.
The university’s quality policy also aims to create a campus environment where academic integrity and freedom are upheld, living conditions are continuously improved, and all students and staff—seen as members of a large family—are treated with tolerance and equality. This, in turn, fosters a greater sense of belonging within the institution.
