Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center’s (UNAM) Asst. Prof. Fatih İnci was honored with the 2024 TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Incentive Award for his innovative disease diagnostic technologies and micro/nanoscale biomedical solutions.
The event was held by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Health Institutes Association (TÜSEB) on November 15-17, 2024 under the theme of “Health in Disasters and the Future of Health.”
Asst. Prof. İnci develops ultra-sensitive sensors and microfluidic platforms aimed at diagnosing challenging diseases such as infectious diseases and cancer, addressing key issues in modern medicine. Additionally, by creating low-cost, easy-to-use diagnostic systems that provide fast and accurate results, he is making significant strides in combating health inequalities, leaving a global impact on health technologies and touching the lives of millions. Honored with the TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Incentive Award, which is presented to leading scientists in Turkey’s health sciences and technology fields, Dr. İnci continues to advance his groundbreaking research within UNAM’s state-of-the-art facilities.
