Upon the recommendation of the Board of Trustees and with the approval of the Council of Higher Education, Orhan Aytür assumed the position of Acting Rector of Bilkent University on 28 July 2026.
As part of the new administrative structure, Ezhan Karaşan was appointed Provost, Hüseyin Boyacı was appointed Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Emin Karagözoğlu was appointed Vice Rector for Student Affairs, and Sinan Atalar was appointed Secretary General.
Emine Ülkü Sarıtaş will continue to serve as Associate Provost, while Emel Özdora will continue in her role as Advisor to the Rector for Communications.
