Julian Lupu, Bilkent Symphony Orchestra trumpet group leader and instructor at the Department of Music, has been honored with the prestigious Order of Cultural Merit.
Julian Lupu is granted to as Knights of the Order for Merit by the Romanian President, recognizing his significant cultural contributions and artistic achievements. The award was officially presented to Mr. Lupu by Mr. Ştefan Alexandru Tinca, Romania’s Ambassador to Ankara.
The Department of Music states that this recognition highlights Mr. Lupu’s dedication to the arts and his profound impact on cultural dialogue through music, inspiring and shaping the cultural landscape both locally and internationally.
