Decisions of High Council of Clubs and Societies

The High Council of Student Clubs and Societies met on June 4, 2026 and took the following decisions.

Closed clubs or societies:

The following clubs and societies, which had been suspended for three consecutive academic years, were closed:

  1. The Scavenger Hunt Club
  2. World Languages and Linguistics Club
  3. Aviation Club
  4. Coffee Club
  5. Short Movie Society
  6. Classical Guitar Club
  7. Cricket Society
  8. Programming Club

Suspended clubs or societies:

The following clubs and societies, which organized fewer than three activities during the 2025–26 Academic Year, were suspended:

  1. Blockchain Society
  2. Kulübü Young Leaders Club
  3. Motorcycle Society
  4. Parlor Games Society
  5. Social Sciences Society
  6. Sailing Society

Clubs or societies that received warnings:

The following clubs and societies, which only organized three activities during the 2025–26 Academic Year, will receive a warning:

  1. Bilkent TED Graduates’ Club
  2. Childhood Games Club
  3. Marketing Club

Closed club or societie branches:

The following branches were closed.

  1. Archery Branch, Sports Collective
  2. Winter Sports Branch, Sports Collective

Reactivated clubs or societies:

The following suspended clubs and societies were reactivated:

  1. American Culture Society
  2. Cyber Security Society
  3. Bilkent Union
  4. E-Sports Society
  5. Google Student Developers Society (a)
  6. Karaoke Club
  7. Birdwatching Society
  8. North Caucasus Culture Society
  9. Mathematics Society
  10. Turkic World Studies Society

(a) Subject to an agreement being reached between the two applicant groups.

Reactivated club or societie branches:

The following suspended society was reactivated as a branch:

  1. Aikido Branch, Sports Collective

Upgraded club or society branches:

The following branches were upgraded to the status of clubs or societies:

  1. Tango Branch, Tango Society
  2. Metal Music Branch, Metal Music Club

Newly established clubs or societies:

The following clubs and societies were established:

  1. ACS Bilkent Student Branch
  2. German Society (b)
  3. Cloud Club
  4. IBM Z Student Club
  5. Wellness Club
  6. Crimean Culture Society
  7. Creative Studies Society (b)
  8. Potterheads Society
  9. Russian Language and Culture Society
  10. Defense Technologies and Strategies Society
  11. NextGen Builders Society

(b) Provided that the society adopts a more appropriate name.

  3. DJ & Electronic Music Branch, Music Club
  4. Judo Branch, Sports Collective
  5. Satiric Culture Art Media Branch, Bilkent Gazette
  6. Embroidery Branch, Knitting and Crochet Society
  7. Polyphonic Choir Branch, Music Club

Objections must be submitted in writing to oem@bilkent.edu.tr.

 


Decision of the Clubs and Societies Higher Council dated October 17, 2024:

The following clubs that did not submit the results of their General Assembly as announced in the Student Clubs and Societies Calendar have been decided to be suspended until the end of the 2024-2025 Academic Year:
