Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Akgül, faculty member in the Department of Computer Technology and Information Systems, The School of Applied Technology and Management, has passed away. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Akgül, and wish to extend our condolences to his family, friends and the Bilkent community.
Dr. Akgül joined the Department of Industrial Engineering at Bilkent University in 1987. He remained a member of the IE department until 2008, when he became a faculty member in the CTIS department. Dr. Akgül will be sadly missed not only by his family, but also by his friends and colleagues at Bilkent.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Dogramacizade Ali Pasa Mosque at afternoon prayers and the burial will take place at Karşıyaka Cemetery. Vehicles will depart from the front of the Rectorate Building and East Campus Coffee Break at 2:50 p.m.
Dr. Mustafa Akgül will be commemorated on Tuesday, December 19, 12:40PM, at Mithat Çoruh Hall.
