We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Talat Şenocak, one of the most beloved members of the Department of Economics and an alumnus (MATH BS ’06, ECON MA ’09, Ph.D. ’25).
We wish to extend our condolences to Şenocak family, the loved ones, his students, and the Bilkent community.
The funeral will take place on Monday, March 2, 2026, following the noon prayer, at the Yukarı Yenice Village Cemetery in Dazkırı district of Afyon province. For those who wish to attend, a vehicle will depart from in front of the Rectorate building (B block) at 7 a.m. on Monday.
