Quality Assurance System

Bilkent University’s Quality Assurance System consists of three subsystems: Education and Training, Research, Development, and Social Contribution, and Administrative Quality Assurance.

Education and Training Quality Assurance Subsystem aims to ensure that students receive a high-quality education and graduate as well-trained professionals. The success of graduates is measured by their preference in the job market and their acceptance into prestigious graduate programs. This system employs evaluation methods such as the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) Cycle, student course and instructor evaluation forms, and annual faculty assessments to ensure continuous improvement.

Research, Development, and Social Contribution Quality Assurance Subsystem focuses on enabling faculty members to leave a mark in their fields while also contributing to society. Indicators of success include academic publications, patents, awards, artistic productions, exhibitions, and participation in social responsibility projects. Research projects are monitored by the Project Evaluation Committee, ensuring quality assurance.

Administrative Quality Assurance Subsystem ensures the effective functioning of the university’s administrative and physical infrastructure. The university’s ranking in global standings, its appeal to prospective students, and performance evaluations of administrative units serve as key indicators of its success. Each unit prepares Annual Activity Reports, which are reviewed by the university administration for improvement.
