Due to Traffic Awareness Week, Ankara Department of Security Office and Bilkent University are going to co-organize the following activities about traffic safety on Wednesday, April 18, 2024 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Participation of all Bilkenters who drive at our university in the following activities will be helpful in raising traffic awareness.
1. At the Prayer House Parking Lot (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
– Seat belt use simulator demonstration
– Practicing penalty shootouts while using the drunk simulation goggles, which will make a person feel like driving under the influence of alcohol
– Introduction of radar system
2. At V-01 Auditorium (12:30 p.m.– 1:30 p.m.)
– Basic traffic safety education program
According to the decisions made by the Traffic Committee,
• “4” traffic points each will be removed from the traffic records of Bilkent members who attend first and second group activities.
• Also note that violation points for Bilkent members who attend the basic traffic education program will be reduced to “16” and removed. However, those who violate the traffic rules and regulations within a month of following the basic traffic education program will be returned to their previuos status and violation records.
