Talk: “From Earth to Stage – A Symphonic Journey to Anatolia”
The talk featuring the book titled “A Symphonic Journey to Anatolia”, penned by Prof. Ersin Onay, the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (FMPA) of Bilkent University will be presented in the accompaniment of special visuals from the archives. In the book, Prof. Onay tells the story of the establishment and development of FMPA. He shares memories from the period between 1986 and 2000, during his tenure as administrator, with documents, photographs, media excerpts, comments and reviews. The book also sheds light on the cultural, artistic, social and political life of the country during this period.
