Seminar: “Moments of Vision” by Dr. Jan Drewes, PostDoctoral Research Fellow at: Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC) Trento University
In our every day life, we are exposed to a continuous stream of visual input. In order to process this, our perceptual systems must create discrete objects and events out of this continuous flow of sensory information. I will illustrate mechanisms that package the sensory flow into discreet moments, and show examples from my own research on how to identify the signatures of these mechanisms in behavioral and electrophysiological data.
