“Periodic actions”
Abstract: This talk will present an interaction between a combinatorial action, called the “Rowmotion” and an algebraic action, called the “Coxeter transformation.” The Coxeter transformation plays an important role in representation theory of algebras and in some cases it shows some periodicity. In a joint work with René Marczinzik and Hugh Thomas, we show that the composition of the Rowmotion and the Coxeter transformation is periodic for the incidence algebras coming from distributive lattices. Furthermore, if time permits, I will mention that this result goes beyond distributive lattices.
