“Block algebras of finite groups and finite-dimensional symmetric algebras that have two simples”
Abstract: We will be discussing a topic in modular representation theory of finite groups, more precisely block algebras of finite groups over a prime characteristic field with only two non-isomorphic simple modules. More generally we might discuss also finite-dimensional symmetric algebras with two simples.
