Title: The Dos and Don’ts of Writing about Women in the History of Political Philosophy
Speaker: Prof. Sandrine Bergès, Department of Philosophy
Place: Art Gallery, Bilkent University Library
Date: Wednesday, 8 May 2024
Time: 12.30-13.20.

Abstract: In this talk, Prof. Sandrine Bergès will put together a list of dos and don’ts, based on her experience of researching the history of women in political philosophy. Each item will be illustrated by examples drawn from well-known texts in the history of political thought (e.g. Max Gallo, Jonathan Israel) and followed by a short argument to justify its inclusion in the list.
