We are pleased to invite you to the “40 Years of the Bilkent University Library” panel, organized as part of the events celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Bilkent University Library.
The panel aims to reflect on the library’s development, which has accompanied academic production, research processes, and campus life for 40 years, and to share perspectives on the future. Our speakers will include the founding director of the library, Dr. Phyllis L. Erdoğan; Assoc. Prof. Dr. David E. Thornton, who served as the library director between 2007 and 2016; and Dr. Ebru Kaya, who has been serving as the library director since 2016. They will share insights into the library’s development from its establishment to the present, along with their experiences and future evaluations.
