Japanese Calligraphy & Tea Ceremony

Dear Bilkent University Members,

Bilkent University FADA Department of Graphic Design and Japanese Embassy invites you all to experience Japanese Tea Ceremony by Mrs. Wakako Yamaguchi, on October 31, 2019 at FB309. The program is detailed below.

Japanese Tea Ceremony is strongly related with Zen & Calligraphy. Actually, whenever you enter a Japanese Tea House, you can see Zen calligraphy hanged over the most important place in it. Mrs. Yamaguchi is not only a calligrapher but also a tea master & an Ikebana flower arrangement master as well as a Japanese traditional Tanka poet.
She has a multi-lingual International Tea School in the Institute for Japanese Culture Experience & Education and gives lecturers to foster English speaking guides, tea experts & calligraphers.

After a calligraphy workshop with Graphic Design 3rd year students, Mrs. Yamaguchi will perform a tea ceremony.
