Bio: Tanguy Le Fur is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) of Economics at the University of Lille (LEM). He earned his PhD in Economics from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics and previously held a postdoctoral position in the Social Science Division at NYU Abu Dhabi. His research sits at the intersection of political economy, growth theory, and economic history, with a particular focus on how different forms of conflict shape the long-run dynamics of comparative development.
