Faculty of Fine Art Design and Architecture invites you to the “LÖSEV’le Yaşama El Verenler” Exhibition on November 7, 2024 at 12:30 at the FADA Exhibition Hall
Bilkent FADA student teams from 6 departments collaborated with LÖSEV to create artworks using the fabric canvases prepared over the years by LÖSEV volunteers to support children with Leukemia and create awareness during Children with Leukemia Week.
This year, an exciting and inspiring collaboration is taking place between LÖSEV and Bilkent, in which LÖSEV donated fabric canvases of high sentimental value to Bilkent University. These canvases symbolized the two-way and continuous interaction between volunteers and children in LÖSEV’s voluntary school activities across Türkiye. Each hand on the fabric canvases symbolizes its artistic impact and the support that was instrumental in this process. Children treated in LÖSEV hospital lead an isolated life due to the risk of infection during their treatment process. And these canvases have been used for years to show them they are not alone. Each handprint belongs to a volunteer who was there to support a child with leukemia.
For this year’s collaboration, Bilkent student teams from FADA turned these canvases into art pieces through brand-new designs. We hope these artworks will continue to create awareness about leukemia and bring hope to children under treatment under the collective work of LÖSEV and Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Art Design and Architecture.
