BIO:
Seth Gitner is an expert in multimedia storytelling and visual communications. He is an Associate Professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he holds dual appointments in the Magazine, News, Digital Journalism, and Visual Communications departments. He teaches multimedia storytelling, photography, and video journalism, and has previously served as the head of the Visual Communication Division for the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. In addition to his professional roles, Gitner co-directs the NPPA Multimedia Immersion Workshop held annually at Syracuse University, providing training in multimedia storytelling for journalists. He is also the author of “Multimedia Storytelling for Digital Communicators in a Multiplatform World,” a textbook now in its second edition, which serves as a resource for students and professionals navigating the evolving landscape of digital storytelling.
