On 7 February, all students are invited to the Media Literacy and Disinformation Conference in Amphi C, which focuses on the issue of disinformation in the media, as hosted by the European Union Delegation to Türkiye and in cooperation with our university.
The conference will bring together experts, fact-checkers, journalists, academics, digital platform representatives and stakeholders to discuss effective strategies to promote media literacy and combat disinformation.
Our graduate, renowned historian Prof. Dr Emrah Safa Gürkan will deliver the keynote speech and three-panel discussions, titled “Why Do We Need Media Literacy?”, “What is the Role of Artificial Intelligence?” and “Can We Win the Fight?” will follow. At the end of the conference, participating students will be given a certificate of participation by the European Union Delegation to Türkiye.
