Dr. Derya Göçer is an associate professor, chairing Middle East Studies and Area Studies programs at the Middle East Technical University. Her research includes state-society relations and state transformation in the Middle East, mostly focusing on Turkey and Iran. She also works on research design and methods in Area Studies, teaching and writing on the subject.
