Bilkent Mourns the Loss of Prof. Dr. Duygu Bazoğlu Sezer, retired faculty member of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of International Relations.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Prof. Dr. Duygu Bazoğlu Sezer, founding chair of the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, who served between 01.10.1986 and 31.05.2011.

We wish to extend our condolences to her family, the loved ones, her students, and the Bilkent community.

The funeral will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Zincirlikuyu Mosque following the afternoon prayer, and the burial will take place at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
