The Comparative Tort Law Seminar Series brings together distinguished scholars from around the world to share their expertise and insights on contemporary issues in tort law, fostering a deeper understanding of comparative perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches.
BIO
Professor Koch is the head of the Research Group for Legal Culture, Legal History and Comparative Law in Bergen, Norway. He is also the president of the Norwegian Association of Comparative Law and the Co-leader of the Innovation and Comparative Perspectives Pillar at the newly founded COAST center for Energy, Environmental and Climate Law at the University of Bergen. Koch has published comprehensively in the field of comparative law, with a special focus on comparative Private Law and its History. He has been guest professor at universities all over Europe and beyond. Originally educated in Germany , his main interest concerns the cultural and historical preconditions of legal institutions, rules and intellectual movements across Europe with a special focus on Norwegian and Nordic Law.
