You are cordially invited to the online graduate seminar titled “From Flintstones to AI: Ages of Interpreting – What Has Really Changed?” organized by the Department of Translation and Interpretation (TRIN).

This event will explore the historical evolution of interpreting, from its earliest forms to the present day, with particular attention to how broader dynamics such as globalization, political developments, technological innovation and generational change have shaped the profession. Speakers will reflect on their experiences as professionals, trainers, and graduates in relation to the key transformations and ongoing challenges in the field of interpreting. The seminar also marks the 17th anniversary of Bilkent University’s Master’s Program in Conference Interpreting.

There will be simultaneous interpretation provided by the current students of the M.A. in Conference Interpreting throughout the seminar.
