The Department of Political Science and Public Administration cordially invites you to the “Martti Ahtisaari Legacy Peace Seminar 2024,” organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Finland in Türkiye and Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation (CMI). The Seminar will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Mithat Çoruh Auditorium.
We are honored to host H.E. Mr. Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland to deliver the opening remarks within the seminar which aims to stimulate discussion on the future of peace mediation around the world. The Seminar will also feature a Ministerial Discussion and Expert Panel.

* Martti Ahtisaari (1937-2023) was a former UN diplomat, a Finnish statesman, and a renowned peace mediator. In 2008, Ahtisaari was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his lifetime achievements. He was one of the world’s most successful peace mediators. The President Martti Ahtisaari Legacy Event series aims to initiate and stimulate discussion about the future of peace mediation building on the living legacy of President Ahtisaari around the world.
