Bio: Ömer Faruk Şen is a 5th-year Ph.D. candidate with a Fulbright Scholarship at the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. His dissertation explores government policies aimed at weakening the dominance of the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency. His research interests include, but are not limited to, international monetary systems, digital currencies, the political economy of development, and international climate change mitigation. His co-authored paper has recently appeared in the Review of International Political Economy (RIPE). Prior to attending the University of Missouri, he received a BA degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Ankara University and an MA degree in International Relations from TOBB University of Economics and Technology.
