On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, the Mathematics Department is organizing an event entitled “Cumhuriyetin 100. Yılı ve Matematik”.

At the end of the event, our department’s traditional Orhan Alisbah Mathematics Awards will be given to the most outstanding graduate and undergraduate mathematics students. The award is sponsored by the generous contributions of the Alisbah Family, to whom we are grateful for supporting mathematics in our country over generations. This year’s Alisbah Award recipients are Yaman Paksoy in the graduate category, and Yusuf Nar and Uzay Çetin jointly in the undergraduate category.
