“Anyons – From Theory to Experiments”
Abstract
Anyons are particles that are neither bosons nor fermions. I will explain what they are, and why the quasiparticles in Quantum Hall liquids are expected to be anyons. Finally I will describe recent experiments that have verified these expectations, over 40 years since the fundamental theoretical work by Leinaas and Myrheim.
