About the speaker:
Koen Nelissen studied Biochemistry at KU Leuven and received his PhD in Medical Sciences from the same university in 2006. After completing a FWO postdoctoral fellowship at KU Leuven, he moved to Boston in 2009 where he obtained a position as Instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Currently, he is Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosciences at KU Leuven. His research focuses on the organization of grasping behavior and the neural substrates for action comprehension and social cognition in the human and non-human primate brain using a combination of neuroimaging, behavioral and perturbation techniques.
