Abstract
This study investigates the role of proximity to entrepreneurial support mechanisms on entrepreneurial propensity and the moderating roles of gender and personality traits in these relationships. Data were collected from 322 participants representing diverse demographic and geographic backgrounds. Multiple regression analyses conducted using R programming revealed that proximity to entrepreneurship support mechanisms significantly boosts entrepreneurial propensity. Among the various dimensions of proximity, cognitive and institutional proximity exhibited the strongest impact, while geographical, organizational, and social proximity had weaker effects. Gender was found to have no significant moderating role in these relationships. However, personality traits and age-related differences emerged as key factors shaping entrepreneurial propensity. The study discusses research implications and offer recommendations for future research.
