Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin are among the most profound works ever written for a single instrument. This recital brings together the Sonata No.1 in G minor, Partita No.3 in E major, and the Partita No.2 in D minor.
Presented without intermission, the approximately 75-minute program traces a journey from introspection and contrapuntal depth to brilliance, virtuosity, and ultimately profound emotional intensity.
Having recorded the complete cycle of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas, violinist and faculty member in Music and Performing Arts İmge Tilif returns to this extraordinary repertoire as a continuous musical experience and ending with the Chaconne, one of the supreme masterpieces of the solo violin repertoire.
