Abstract
The image of the archipelago let us question contemporary fragmented reality, challenging the idea of objects (and their form) as outcomes of an historical process or rather a step of disruption. Going through projects and researches, the archipelago as a design methodology will be presented in relation to its potential and limitations. While the paternalist approach of the Modernism will fail to take into consideration physical, geographical and economic diversities, a new adaptable strategy is needed.
