Based on the early modern story of Martin Guerre, it tells a story of French peasant living in Gascony who disappears. About eight years later a man resembling Guerre reappears in town and introduces himself as the lost Guerre to the town. However, a claim appears that the real Guerre is in Flanders and their trial starts…
