Film Gösterimi: “Frances Ha (2012),” Noah Baumbach, FFB-06, 18:00 21 Aralık (EN)

On Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 6.00 p.m., (FF-B06) Bilkent Cinematics presents the last film of its Fall series, Noah Baumbach’s Frances Ha (2012).

Baumbach, director of such acclaimed movies as The Squid and the Whale and Mistress America, gives us in Frances Ha a portrait of Frances Halladay (played by Greta Gerwig, who also co-wrote the movie) an aspiring dancer in her early 20s trying to establish her career and shape her identity. The film traces her struggles to find out exactly what she wants out of life and whether she has the will and talent to achieve it.

The Washington Post says Frances Ha is “a film that feels spontaneous and finely crafted at the same time,” and IMBd calls it “a modern comic fable that explores New York, friendship, class, ambition, failure, and redemption.”

Everyone is welcome at Cinematics screenings. All movies are screened with English subtitles, and snacks and refreshments are served. Contact Hossein Dabir at for further information.
