Hezarfen Ensemble will hold a five-day residency at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, March 6-10, as an annual collaboration with Bilkent Composition.
Bilkent Hezarfen Academy 2019 will be featuring Hezarfen Ensemble with seven instrumentalists (flt, clt, perc, pno, vln, vla, vlc) in a week full of rehearsals, individual lessons, a seminar and a final concert with the aim to create performance and recording opportunities for emerging composers and promote contemporary music with newly written pieces. Eun-Hwa Cho, professor of composition at the Music University “Hanns Eisler”, Berlin, holds the visiting professorship in this edition. The closing concert with five world premieres takes place in Bilkent Concert Hall, 10 March 2019 Sunday at 20:00.
