“Thinking in terms of subgroup lattices”<\/p>\n
Abstract: The set of all subgroups of a group forms together with the inclusion a lattice, the subgroup lattice. Natural questions to ask are:
\nGiven a class of groups, what can we say about the class of the corresponding subgroup lattices?
\nor
\nGiven a class of lattices, what can we say about the class of groups having a subgroup lattice inside the given class?<\/p>\n
In this talk we will focus on finite groups and give some classical answers to the questions. Moreover, we will discuss recent research projects.<\/p>\n
