Selin G\u00fcnhan, 15:30 16-17-18 Ocak (EN)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u201cUnderstanding and Managing the main Psychological Problems Experienced by Students\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>January 16-17-18, 2023 2:00-3:30 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(please ask for the password:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:btlsc@bilkent.edu.tr\">btlsc@bilkent.edu.tr<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This seminar series aim to make a brief introduction to the main psychological problems experienced by students and help instructors to better understand and manage such situations they may encounter in their academic work. It consists of 3 days and a variety of topics will be covered.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the first day (<em>January 16, 2023<\/em>), mood and anxiety disorders, grieving period and ADHD will be discussed.<\/li>\n<li>The second day (<em>January 17, 2023<\/em>) will cover personality<\/li>\n<li>The last day (<em>January 18, 2023<\/em>) is spared for the question\u2019s instructors have.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: It is not obligatory to attend all days of the seminar series. You can assume each day as a separate seminar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>About \u0130. Selin G\u00fcnhan<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u0130pek Selin G\u00fcnhan is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. She received her Bachelor\u2019s Degree with Cum Laude from Bilkent University Department of Psychology. She spent a semester in the University of Groningen as an exchange student. During her undergraduate studies she worked as a research assistant in the National Magnetic Resonance Research Center (UMRAM) Visual Perception and Attention Laboratory and Bilkent University Development Psychology Research Center. She completed her Bachelor\u2019s thesis \u201cInfluence of Genetics on Cognition: Relationship Between IQ and Working Memory in Adolescent and Young Adult Twins\u201d in\u00a0UMRAM Brain Development and Psychosis Studies Laboratory.\u00a0She did her internship at Hacettepe University Hospitals Department of Psychiatry.<\/p>\n<p>She received her Master\u2019s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Ba\u015fkent University with her thesis titled \u201cInvestigation of Relationship and Partner-Centered Obsessions in Borderline Personality Organization in an Object Relations Perspective\u201d. She continued her research and psychotherapeutical activities in Ba\u015fkent University Stress Management Applications Center. Then she worked\u00a0as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in Ankara Madalyon Psychiatry Center.
