Duration: 11-22 December, 2017

Place: Mithat Çoruh Conference Hall (EB Building) Foyer

In this project, students initially explore the foyer space of Mithat Çoruh conference hall from different perspectives. Thus, their inquiry focuses on aspects such as: socio-historical context, site and approach, design-for-all and accessibility, program and activity, users’ sensory and emotional experience, geometry, comparison with similar foyer spaces. Afterwards, students generate a design concept and propose an ‘intervention’ to the foyer based on their inquiry; to enrich the quality of our spatial experience within the foyer.
