In this talk, we will give a general introduction to the world of (number-theoretic) cryptography. After providing a historical overview and covering the very basics of the topic, we\u2019ll enter the realm of post- quantum cryptography and, more specifically, try to give an (outdated) introduction to isogeny-based cryptography.
