\u201cNonabelian Plane Waves in General Relativity\u201d<\/p>\n
Abstract: Following Coleman and Guven, we study Einstein-Yang-Mills field equations in several D-dimensional spacetime geometries. Firstly, we investigate nonabelian plane waves in the pp-wave geometry. We show that the Yang-Mills field equations reduce to Laplace eqnuation in D-2 Euclidean geometry and the profile function of the pp-wave metric of the spacetime is determined in terms of the nan-abelian waves. Second we introduce cosmological constant by using the Kerr-Schild-Kundt metrics (KSK). The Yang-Mills equations reduce to a simpler modifaction of the Laplace Equation in D-2 dimensions and metric\u2019s profile functions satisfies a linear but a complcated equation. Lastly we shall consider the pp-wave metrics of the spatially constant curvature geometries. The solutions of Einstein-Yang-Mills equations in this case are similar to the solutions of Einstein-Yang-Mills field equations in pp-wave geometry. There exist exact solutions so that the nonabelian plane waves in the pp-wave and pp-wave with constant curvature spacetimes have bounded energies.<\/p>\n
