A polynomial in terms of X_r’s is called a character polynomial, describing a sequence of (virtual) S_n representations for every n. In this talk I will discuss how such sequences arise in particular examples of interest and time permitting explain a general framework for their occurence.

Date: 11 February 2026
Time: 13:30
Place: SA-141

You are cordially invited to the Algebra Seminar organized by the Department of Mathematics.
