The Institut Fran\u00e7ais d\u2019\u00c9tudes Anatoliennes d\u2019Istanbul (IFEA), in collaboration with the Department of History, the Department of Archaeology and the Program in Cultures, Civilizations and Ideas at Bilkent University, the Department of Art History at Hacettepe
\nUniversity, ANAMED and Byzantium at Ankara organized a lecture series in Fall 2022 with the title \u201cZooming in on Byzantine Cities: Hai al\u0113theiai t\u014dn pole\u014dn.\u201d<\/p>\n
The series\u2019 last event will be held in a hybrid mode on Saturday, 17 December, at Bilkent University. You can join the event in person (Bilkent University, A-Building FEASS, C-Amphi) via Zoom at https:\/\/zoom.us\/j\/3899516358 (Meeting ID: 389 951 6358).
\nThe language of the Lecture Series is English. The first session of the event will start at 10:40 with a panel entitled \u201cSeljuk Views of Byzantium,\u201d which will see the participation of Oya Pancaroglu (Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i University), Dimitri Korobeinikov (University of Albany), and Alexander Beihmemmer (Notre Dame University). The second panel, will start at 14.00 o\u2019clock and during \u201cLate Byzantium and its viewers,\u201d will see Michael Chatzidakis (Humboldt Universit\u00e4t zu Berlin), Siren \u00c7elik (Marmara University) as discussants, and Scott Kennedy (Bilkent University) as respondent.
