Following a brief introduction to the principles of active learning, practical strategies, ranging from small, easily integrated techniques to more structured, inquiry-based approaches that place students at the heart of the learning process, will be demonstrated. Examples from different disciplines, mini-tasks, and reflective activities will illustrate how active learning fosters deeper understanding, stronger critical thinking, and greater engagement. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction also from Bilkent University.\u00a0 Throughout her career, she has held various teaching and research roles, contributing to the development of curriculum design, delivery, and pedagogical practices. Her doctoral research investigated the combined role of utility value, expectancy for success, intrinsic motivation, and self-worth concerns in predicting learning strategies and test anxiety among university students enrolled in the English Language Preparatory Program.
