2016 QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia Rankings

The 2016 QS University Rankings for Emerging Europe and Central Asia were released. The rankings highlight the top 200 universities in the Eastern Europe–Central Asia region.

QSEECA2016Bilkent University is the second highest-ranked university in Turkey. Boğaziçi University is ranked 9th, Bilkent University is ranked 12th, Sabancı University 13th, METU 14th, Koç University 16th and İstanbul Technical University 23rd in the overall list.
Indicators used in calculating the rankings include academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty–student ratio (15%), papers per faculty (10%), web impact (10%), staff with a PhD (5%), citations per paper (5%), and percentage of international faculty and students (5%).

In the overall EECA rankings, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Novosibirsk State University were 1st and 2nd, with Saint-Petersburg State University 3rd.
