Speaker: Gizem Karabay – Urban Designer / Landscape Architect

She studied Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at Bilkent University, and graduated in 2011. She completed her master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design, Politecnico di Milano, Italy. In 2014, she continued to work on urban studies at The Urban Simulation Laboratory “Fausto Curti” which is a research facility of the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at the Politecnico di Milano. Her master’s thesis focused on assessment of campus sustainability and the interface between morphological conditions of university campuses and sustainability strategies. This study was also supported by The Urban Simulation Laboratory and The International Campus Sustainability Network (ISCN). Since 2013, she has been working on various urban design projects at Goland Urban Design as a co-founder.
