Talk: “Being an Interior Architect” by Batu Derer, FFB-06, 3:30 PM February 22 (TR)

Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design kindly invites you to the talk by Batu Derer – DererOmay Design and Construction on Monday, 22nd of February, in room FFB-06 at 15:30.

After graduating from Bilkent University, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2000, Batu Derer continued his studies in European School of Economics and METU. He worked in several
architecture and construction firms until 2005. In 2005, he established his own architectural and design firm in collaboration with Emre Omay. They accomplished several projects and received prizes in A’Design Award and Competition and European Property Awards with General Energy – Head Office Fitout Project.

The speech will be on his experiences on professional life. He will be explaining the reasons of deciding on being an “interior Architect” and how environmental circumstances has driven his choices. He will be
explaining the problems he has faced in the professional life after his education and how he coped with them. Also he will be explaining today’s “working” conditions and how tomorrow could be. He wishes his faults and experiences inspire his younger colleagues after graduation.
