Ahsen Yalvaç is the author of “Turkish Cinema and Arabesk” (Türk Sineması ve Arabesk, Agora, 2013). The talk will facus on the popular music genre of Arabesque in relation to Turkish cinema and city life. It aims at evaluating the recent history Turkey in line with cultural change and cinema.
