S E M I N A R: Uber – rides and beyond

Shatlyk Ashyralyyev
Uber, Amsterdam Engineering

Since the first launch in San Francisco in 2010, Uber has globally disrupted the transportation industry. Currently, we operate in 600+ cities and 65 countries. In addition to helping you get from point A to point B, we work on multiple other problems such as bringing the future closer with self-driving technology and urban air transport, and helping people order food quickly and affordably. First part of the talk will be about Uber’s growth story and its vision about the future of transportation. In the second part, I will mention about Uber’s Developer Platform team, and talk about the program analysis tools and build systems that we build at Uber.
