Engineering students will present their term project posters on December 24th, 2016 from 9:00 to 3:00 in the Mithat Coruh area. The projects will highlight the social and technical debates that shape technological trajectories. All projects will examine a key technological development through investigating stakeholder views and socio-technical outcomes. The student projects will focus on a range of cases, including social media, mobile applications, machine learning, big data, virtual reality, medical technologies, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, nuclear technology alternatives, sustainable technology, compressed air engines and the internet of things. Several student efforts will explore the role of users in design and identify technical solutions to risk issues, including privacy, environmental concerns and social isolation.
