On Thursday, April 2, Bilkent TTO in collaboration with Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) held an event named University-Industry Collaboration Workshop Focusing Health Domain.
Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Atalar, Associate Provost Prof. Dr. Cevdet Aykanat and ASO president Mr. Nurettin Özdebir, more than 20 Bilkent researchers, along with a broad portfolio of ASO member-companies, several well-known pharmaceutical companies and medical device companies participated the event.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and TUBITAK shared information about current situation in Turkey, funding and collaboration opportunities in the health field. During the workshop sessions, 15 Bilkent researchers and 7 industry representatives presented their project ideas related with health. Workshop participants became acquainted with the latest developments of health related research and also cooperation opportunities between industry and university stakeholders.
It is expected that the awareness and the number of projects between Bilkent academicians and industry stakeholders will increase as a result of the event. Bilkent TTO will continue to organise similar events in different fields in the scope of University – Industry Collaboration.
